Hunter Mason enters his second season (2025–26) as head coach of the men’s and women’s track & field programs at Alice Lloyd College, having accepted the post in February 2024 after starring for the Eagles as a multi-event thrower.
During the 2025 outdoor campaign, Mason’s young squads made immediate strides: Alice Lloyd qualified athletes from both the men’s and women’s teams for the NCCAA Outdoor Championships—a program first—and senior sprinter Nikolas Chasteen set a school record of 10.82 seconds in the 100 meters.
Alongside track & field, Mason wears several hats on Caney Creek. He serves the College as a Public Safety Officer and Assistant Archery Coach, roles that keep him closely connected to the wider student body.
An ALC alumnus, Mason completed his bachelor’s degree in 2023, earning the Senior Work Award for exemplary service in the College’s student-work program. He resides in Pippa Passes with his wife, Bethany.
