Katie Jo Moore

We award the Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor to Lady Eagle hoopster Katie Jo Moore. The senior from McDowell (KY) came up with a huge effort to keep her squad close in a tough contest at Indiana University East.

In the 78-67 defeat at IUS, Moore poured in a season-high 30 points on 12-16 field goals, 3-5 trifectas, and 3-4 free throws.

In addition, she chipped in with 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal.

The Lady Eagles are currently 3-8 on the season

Ben Soumahoro

We award the male Student-Athlete of the Week honor to basketball senior Ben Soumahoro, who continued his stellar play in two tough contests last week.

In the Eagles 92-85 loss to NCCAA #8 Ohio Christian University, Soumahoro recorded a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. He sank 10-16 field goals, and added 2 assists and 2 steals.

Then, he followed that up in the disappointing 103-96 defeat at Indiana University East by pumping in a game-high 23 points on 8-11 field goals and 7-9 free throws. He also contributed 10 big rebounds to register another double-double.

The Pippa Passes posse are currently 6-3 on the year.
