Student-Athletes of the Week (January 27th- February 2nd): Jamie Cowan and Ben Soumahoro

Female Athlete of the Week

Sophomore Jamie Cowan paced the Lady Eagles in two matchups last week. In a loss at Oakland City University, Cowan registered a 13-point, 13-rebound double-double. She hit 4-9 field goals and 5-8 free throws while adding 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block.

 She followed that with a 9-point, 8-rebound performance in the defeat at Brescia University. She hit 4-7 attempts. The native of Paris, Kentucky, also grabbed 8 rebounds.

 The Lady Eagles record now sits at 8-13.

Male Athlete of the Week

Alice Lloyd senior forward Ben Soumahoro led the Eagles to a pair of road victories in conference play.

 In the 93-86 victory at Oakland City University, despite foul trouble that limited his minutes, Soumahoro scored 16 points on 7-9 accuracy, including a pair of back-to-back jumpers that helped put the contest out of reach. He also added a block.

 He followed that up in the 87-75 win at Brescia University by draining 7-12 field goals and 10-12 free throws for a game-high 24 points. In addition, the native of Lawrenceville, Georgia, completed a double-double by grabbing 10 rebounds, dished off 2 assists, and recorded 1 steal.

 The Eagles record now sits at 15-6.
