2025 NCCAA Women's Softball All-American awards Announced: Alice Lloyd’s Arin Rife Named Second Team All-American

Greenville, S.C. - The NCCAA has announced the All-American team for the 2025 softball season. Twenty players were chosen for this prestigious honor. The first 10 are named to the First Team list, while the next 10 are Second Team selections. Alexia Geary of the University of Fort Lauderdale (UFTL) earned National Player of the Year honors.

Geary was a force in the circle and in the box for UFTL this season as a two-way player. Geary pitched a whopping 343.0 innings for UFTL, finishing with a 34-16 record and an incredible 15 shutouts. She started 49 games, going the distance in 45 of them, finishing with an impressive 1.59 ERA and 227 strikeouts. As a hitter, Geary also excelled, leading Fort Lauderdale with a .333 batting average, a 1.073 OPS, and an on-base percentage of .472. The senior from Boring, Oregon finished the year with 51 hits, 13 doubles, five triples, six home runs, 34 runs scored, and recorded 39 RBI. She also added four stolen bases.

For Alice Lloyd College (KY), pitcher Arin Rife was named Second Team All-American. The freshman from Grundy, Virginia had an exceptional year in helping Alice Lloyd break the school record for wins in a season, as they finished 28-15.

Individually, on the mound, Rife compiled an outstanding 12-3 record, led the nation in opponents batting average (.177), and was 4th in the nation in both ERA (2.01) and strikeouts (133). Additionally, she also finished in the top-10 nationally in fewest runs allowed (33), hits allowed (56), and earned runs allowed (28).  

As a hitter, Rife had an outstanding .405 batting average,.454 slugging percentage, and .554 on-base percentage, while recording 49 hits, 8 doubles, and 2 home runs. She also stole 7 bases.
