OCU-14; Alice Lloyd-5

In this contest, ALC jumped out to a 5-3 advantage, only to watch the Mighty Oaks come roaring back to take the victory.

The Eagles started well and loaded the bases. Noah Dingess (1B) drew a walk to bring in the first run of the day (1-0), but with the bases still loaded, no more runs would score.

In the bottom of the inning, OCU lined a single to left and tied the match (1-1). They would then add two scores in the next inning, courtesy of a double, and now lead 3-1. ALC answered.

The Caney Creek crew's big inning was the third. In that inning, singles from Isiah Beckett (2B), Nick Van Keuren (RF), and Cory Jefferson (SS), led to a rush of four runs. Now, the Pippa Passes posse led 5-3. Unfortunately, it wouldn't last.

Oakland grabbed a run in the third (5-4). Then in the bottom of the fourth, a pair of doubles was good for four runs (8-5).

In the OCU sixth, the Indiana squad would roll off a three-spot, fueled by a pair of singles (11-5). They then did almost the same thing in the eighth, and the three runs they earned put the contest on ice (14-5).

The Caney Creek boys registered 12 hits on the day. TJay Mullins (LF) and Jefferson both finished 3-5, while Van Keuren had 2 RBIs.

On the mound, Will Gladson started and went 3 innings, allowing 7 hits and 4 runs. He was relieved by Peyton Branham, who suffered the loss. In 2.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits and 7 runs.

Chase Conly allowed 1 hit in 1.2 innings, while Trenton Williams allowed 5 hits and 3 earned runs in the final inning.

ALC was outhit 21-12 and committed the game's 2 errors on the day.
