Alice Lloyd Eagles Women and Men’s Golf host Last Shot Spring Invite
Prestonsburg, KY: On April 12th-13th, the Alice Lloyd College golf teams traveled to Stonecrest Golf Course in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to participate in the ALC Last Shot Spring Invite.
There would be eight individual women who took to the links for the event, as well as thirty-five men comprising six squads. After the last shot had been recorded, the men would earn a third -place finish.
In the women's competition, ALC had three finishers. They were led by Haleigh Jefferson, who would fire a two-round total of 184 to finish third. This was her lowest round of the year.
In addition, Hailey Dye and Mackenzie Methax would finish in fifth and eighth place respectively as both would tally their lowest rounds of the season.
In the men's event, ALC would earn themselves a 3rd place team finish. Individually, they were paced in the two-rounds by Caleb Leonard, whose thirty-six-hole total of 158 earned him 10th place. He was followed by Dillion Fields, who shot 160 and tied for 13th place.
Jason Price fired a 161 which tied him for 17th position, while Chase Petry finished twenty-fifth with a score of 172.
Team captain Mason Compton was tied for fifth after the first round with a score of 76, but unfortunately would have to withdraw before the second round began.
