Alice Lloyd Men and Women's Golf compete in Last Shot Classic

Danville, KY: On April 12th-13th, the Alice Lloyd College golf teams traveled to Old Bridge Golf Club in Danville, Kentucky, where they hosted the ALC Last Shot Classic. The weather on the first day was cool, with gusty winds. Fortunately, conditions were improved for the second day.

Fourteen total squads took to the links for the event with 82 men and 7 women signed up for action. After the last shot had been fired, ALC would settle for a 9th-place finish.

In the women's competition, ALC had three ladies compete, and all gave a good effort. Haleigh Jefferson would firnish 4th while Hailey Dye and Mackenzie Methax would finish 5th and 7th respectively.

In the men's event, ALC would earn themselves a 9th-place finish out of 14 teams competing. Individually overall, the Eagles were led by Chase Petry, firing a 75-80 for a 155 (+11), to tie for 33rd. He was followed by Jason Price at 76,82 for a 158 (+14), which placed him 40th.

Jorge Papatzikos, who shot 165 (+21), and Ryan Cozart  at 171(+27) were next to finish. In addition, Carson Hanson (173), Tanner Bolin (174), Bryson Bartley (176), and Hayden King (201) all gave a good effort as well.
