Alice Lloyd Eagles Soccer Defeats Appalachian Bible College

Beckley, WV; The Alice Lloyd College Eagles (1-1) traveled to Appalachian Bible on September 12th to face the home-standing Warriors (1-2) in soccer action. When the dust had settled, the Caney Creek club emerged victorious, 5-2.

The scoring started for the visitors when Maddux Camden drilled the first goal of the day on a nice assist from Sawyer Crum (1-0).

From there, Dylan Moore would connect off a Dakota Noble assist to put the Eagles ahead 2-0. Later in the match, Camden would hit pay dirt again (3-0).

Eventually, Crum would give ALC their fourth goal (4-0). Finally, River Conley would close out the Eagle scoring with a nice shot of his own (5-0). ABC would then add two late scores to set the final tally at 5-2.

On the day, the victors (1-1) fired 22 shots, compared to ABC's 15. Alice Lloyd goalie Joseph Westphal registered 7 saves and allowed just 2 scores., ALC committed 7 fouls, compared to the hosts with 6. Both squads had 6 corner kicks.

The Eagles return to action on September 14 when they host the University of Pikeville Bears at 4 o'clock.
