Alice Lloyd Eagles Soccer Ventures to Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg

Harrodsburg, KY:  On September 16th, the Alice Lloyd College Eagles traveled to Harrodsburg to battle the Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg Pioneers in soccer action. A strong start by the hosts lifted them to a 7-4 win.

 CUH came out of the gates ready to play and produced the first score of the contest at 3:53. Over a span of just 1:40, they would kick two more goals. Just like that, the hosts led 3-0. They would add to their advantage with a fourth score at 12:00 (4-0).

At 15:25, ALC answered with a nice shot for a score, courtesy of Dylan Moore. Unfortunately, a pair of Harrodsburg goals before intermission would give the hometown club a solid 6-1 lead at intermission.

 In the second half, Pippa Passes player Bryan Amadore would sink a goal at 51:00 (6-2). Things would remain unchanged until 81:00 when Moore gave his Eagles another netter (6-3). CHU would answer with their seventh goal at the 8:45 mark (7-3). Finally, Moore would close out the action with his third ALC goal of the night to set the final score 7-4 for the hosts.

On the day, the victors fired 23 shots, compared to ALC's 17. Both squads recorded 5 corner kicks, and the blue and white led in saves, 11-7.

Pippa Passes goalie Joseph Westphal went the distance, allowing 7 goals with 11 saves.

Offensively, Moore laced the hat trick with 3 scores while Amadore nabbed another. Trenton Dunn notched an assist in the stat line.

 ALC (1-3-1) returns to action on Thursday, September 19th, when they journey to Ohio to battle the Ohio Christian University Trailblazers. Game time is set for 5:00 pm.
