Alice Lloyd Eagles Soccer drops last second decision to Ohio Christian, 4-3

Pippa Passes, KY: On October 3rd, the Alice Lloyd College Eagles returned home to battle the Ohio Christian University Trailblazers in soccer action. In a battle between a pair of evenly matched clubs, OCU pulled off the late 4-3 victory.

 The visitors struck first with a pair of goals in the opening ten minutes of play (2-0). At 15:00, ALC answered when Sawyer Crum took a feed from Jensen Harbaugh and delivered the point to slice the deficit in half (2-1).

Later, at 30:40, the Trailblazers struck again with another score. This would give them a 3-1 advantage, that they would take into the dressing room at intermission.

 In the second half, the Pippa Passes posse stuck when Harbaugh took a pass from Crum to set the score at 3-2. Then, seven minutes later, Harbaugh went solo for a big goal. Now, at 65:00, the game was knotted up, 3-3.

The contest remained deadlocked until the clock entered the final minute. At that critical juncture, the Ohio crew managed to lace a huge shot into the net with just :35 showing on the clock. This last -second goal would prove to be the game winner as the game would end shortly afterwards.

On the day, the victors fired 14 shots, compared to the Eagles 12 while also leading in corner kicks, 6-4.

 Harbaugh provided a pair of scores plus 1assist. Crum added the other score

Pippa Passes goalie Joseph Westphal stopped 6 shots while allowing 2 scores. Fellow goalie Bryan Cook stopped 6 shots and allowed 2 scores as well.

 ALC (3-4-1) returns to action on Sunday, October 6th when they host Southwestern Virginia. Game time is set for 1:00pm.
