Alice Lloyd Soccer Moves to #5 in rankings, defeat Welch College, 10-1

Pippa Passes, KY: On October 7th, the Alice Lloyd College Eagles moved into the NCCAA DII top ten soccer rankings for the first time in school history, receiving a #5 ranking. That evening, they showed why they have earned that position as they took down the Welch College Flames 10-1.

The Pippa Passes posse would attack quickly. At minute 1:30, Maddux Camden layed out a nice assist to Luis Sarabia, and he sent it into the goal for a 1-0 lead.

Then, twelve minutes later, it was Camden's turn to dent the scoreboard as he took a Jensen Harbaugh pass and delivered the goods (2-0). Camden then repeated that feat at 19:00, this time off a Sarabia pass (3-0).

Before intermission was reached, Harbaugh would boot 2 more goals, while Camden and Clayton Moss scored as well, to make the advantage 7-0. Single assists for these came courtesy of Dylan Moore and Issac Wallin, while Alex De Wolfe delivered a pair by himself. This score would hold until intermission.

In the second half, Camden drained his fourth goal of the night at 52:00, then saw his buddy Harbaugh connect 1:24 seconds later. This gave the Caney Creek crew a commanding 9-0 cushion.

Welch would put a point on the board at 73:00 on a nice shot from John Teter. (9-1) However, ALC quickly made it back when Bryan Amadore took a feed from Moss and pounded it home to set the final score at 10-1.

Offensively, Camden was huge, scoring 4 goals and adding 1 assist. Harbaugh was right behind with 3 scores and 1 assist.

In addition, Sarabia, Moss, and Amadore all contributed a goal while De Wolfe and Sarabia both had 2 assists. Moore, Wallin, and Moss chipped in with 1 assist apiece.

Kalin Schneider took care of the goal keeping duties for the first half and allowed 0 scores. Nate Cook took over in the second stanza, allowing just 1 score.

The Pippa Passes crew would lead in shots-on-goal, 23-2, and corner kicks, 11-1.

The Eagles record now runs to a sparkling 8-0-2.
