Alice Lloyd Eagles Track and Field Competes in Challenging Berea College Mountaineer Open

Berea, KY: The Alice Lloyd College Eagles Outdoor Track and Field squad traveled to central Kentucky on March 23rd and opened the spring season by participating in the competitive Berea College Mountaineer Open, hosted by NCAA DIII opponent, Berea College.

A total of 8 schools from NCAA DIII and NAIA squads were represented in the competition.

Below are the competitors for the Pippa Passes squad with individual results for each athlete.

Men

Nikolas Chasteen-Junior

100 meter - 3rd place with a time of 11.53 seconds

200 meters - 5th place with a time of 23.75 seconds

Devon Hill-Senior

100 meter - 16th place with a time of 13.14 seconds

200 meter - 12th place with a time of 27.48 seconds

Anthony Day-Sophomore (first time competing at a meet)

200 meter-13th place with a time of 27.97 seconds

High jump-6th place with a mark of 1.60 meters

Andre Harless-Senior

400 hurdles-6th place with a time of 1:02.75

Darren Griffin-Junior

Shotput - 5th place with a mark of 9.65 meters

Javelin - 7th place with a mark of 33.17 meters

Peyton Boblett-Junior

Shotput-7th place with a mark of 9.60 meters

Javelin-6th place with a mark of 33.51 meters (PR)
