The Lady Eagles were never able to get a rally going as they dropped the opener.

In the fourth, the Ohio squad would rap another two-run double to keep the momentum in their favor. They now led 7-2.
The Bluegrass ladies attempted to rally in the sixth. An error by the hosts brought in one score, then, Rachel Rife (LF) laced a two-run single. Now, they only trailed, 7-5.
Unfortunately, Miami got all of those runs back in the bottom of the inning with a big double and single. This doubled their lead at 10-5.

Fortunately, the Pippa Passes posse immediately responded. In the third, a Muncy double and Rife sacrifice fly bumped the advantage back to three, 7-4. Miami only scored a single run in their next at bat, as a walk sliced the score to 7-5.
The fourth inning was huge as ALC received a two-run single from Mackenzie Newport (RF) and single from Rife to deliver three big runs (10-5). They then grabbed insurances runs in each of the next two innings, delivered by a wild pitch and long fly ball. Now, the score read 12-5.
