Game 1
Alice Lloyd-2; OCU-4
The visitors opened the scoring right out of the gate by utilizing a single from Aspyn Branham (3B) to break the ice (1-0).
In the OCU first, an RBI single and error would give them the lead (2-1), but their guests would soon answer.
ALC erased the deficit in their half the fourth when Chloe Taylor (2B) reached base with a single and later scored on a Trailblazer error. The scoreboard now read 2-2, and the contest was up for grabs.
The back-breaking blow would come in the fifth. In that inning, the Ohio club would place a runner on base. That would be followed by a shot to left that cleared the fence to give OCU the lead at 4-2. Unfortunately for the Bluegrass crew, they would not be able to make up the difference, and the contest would end with the hosts on top.
For the Eagles, Branham, Taylor, and Carlee Muncy (1B) would all single, but these would turn out to be the only hits of the day for the blue and white. Branham and Muncy provided the RBI's.
On the mound, Kirsten Vice suffered the loss. In 4.1 innings of work, she gave up 8 hits and 3 earned runs with 2 walks.

The home squad got all they needed in their opening at-bat, when they utilized a double, error, and pair of sacrifice flies to leap ahead, 4-0.
In the OCU third, another double and fielder's choice plated two more scores (6-0). Then in the fifth, errors gifted them another pair of runs to push their advantage to 8-0.
On the ALC side of the equation, they would have trouble at the plate the entire way. The only Caney Creek member to produce a hit was Branham, with a single. However, she would remain stranded on base as her squad would never threaten.
On the mound for ALC, pitch Maleigh McDaniel suffered the loss. She went two innings, giving up 7 hits and 5 earned runs. She whiffed 1 and walked 1.
