The Pippa Passes posse took took a lead in the mid-innings and made it stand up to record the win.

After 2 1/2 scoreless innings, the hosts broke through in their half of the third. In that at-bat, Carlee Muncy (1B) singled, then raced home on a single from Rachel Rife (LF) to make it 1-0. She allowed a homer, single, and triple, which were good for a trio of runs, with nobody out (6-4). However, the hosts then turned to Kirsten Vice for relief, and she came through in the clutch by delivering three consecutive groundouts to preserve the victory.
