ALC Lady Eagles Student-Athlete of the Week (January 15th, 2024): Abby Maggard

We award the female Student-Athlete of the Week honor to Lady Eagle basketball player Abby Maggard.

The freshman guard helped lead the club to split last week. In the 65-60 defeat to Asbury University, she chipped in with 7 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

 The Hindman (KY) native came up big in the 90-53 victory over Indiana University East by scoring 18 points, and adding 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block and 2 steals.

For the week, she averaged 12.5 points while shooting 39.1% (9-23) from the floor, 31.2% (5-16) from long range, and sank both of her charity tosses. For good measure, she grabbed 8 rebounds, added 8 assists, 2 steals and 1 block.

The Lady Eagles are currently 9-7 on the season.
