
Two Lady Eagles Named All-Conference
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio- The River States Conference is pleased to announce the selections for the 2024 River States Conference Women's Basketball All-Conference Teams.
The first team consists of ten players, with 12 players represented on the second team, due to a tie in voting. Accordingly, eight players are honored on the third team. The teams are selected via a vote of conference head coaches. Individual awards will be announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
Four teams led the way in All-Conference voting, all earning two first team selections and four selections total, with Oakland City, Rio Grande, St. Mary-of-the-Woods, and Shawnee State all so honored. Midway, who also picked up a first team selection, was right behind that group with three selections.
Alice Lloyd, Brescia, IU East, IU Kokomo, and IU Southeast all placed two players on the All-Conference teams, with IU East accounting for the final first team selection. WVU Tech rounded out the conference with one selection.
Eleven of the 12 River States Conference schools placed at least one player on the All-Conference teams, with ten of the 12 members earning multiple selections.
The 2025 River States Conference Tournament begins Wednesday with quarterfinal games played at Shawnee State, Oakland City, Brescia, and Rio Grande. The semifinal round is scheduled for Saturday, and the RSC championship game will be played Tuesday night at the home gym of the highest remaining divisional seed.
