Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles Soccer Hosts UC Harrodsburg

Pippa Passes, KY: On Tuesday, October 15th, the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles battled the Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg Pioneers in soccer action. The hosts would give a good effort, but the visitors would take an early lead, and pull away for the 8-1 victory..

The contest remained scoreless for the first eight minutes before CHU connected to break the ice (1-0). They would spread out a trio of goals the remainder of the half, and head into intermission holding on to a 4-0 advantage.

In the second half, after the Pioneers added a pair of scores to move ahead 6-0, Alice Lloyd broke the ice. At 71:22, Mackenzie Cowell made a nice pass to Alexis Skeens and she proceeded to line a kick past the goalie to strike paydirt (6-1). Unfortunately, CUH would close the contest with two final scores to seal the 8-1 victory.

On the day, the visitors fired 23 shots compared to the Pippa Passes crew with 5, and led in corner kicks 6-0. 

Pippa Passes goalie Claudia Richie registered 15 saves., while ALC committed just 3 offsides, compared to the Pioneers 4.

The Lady Eagles (0-8) return to action on Thursday, September 24th, when they host Toccoa Falls, Georgia. Game time is set for 5:00pm
