Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles host Toccoa Falls on Senior Day
Pippa Passes, KY: On October 24th, the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles soccer squad played host to the Toccoa Falls Screaming Eagles (7-4-2). When the final horn sounded, the visitors would leave with a 11-0 victory.
Before the contest, the Lady Eagles honored seniors Libby Danner, Mackenzie Cowell and Philly Tolentino for their hard work and dedication. Once the game started, TF scored a pair of goals in the first 12 minutes to leap ahead, 2-0. The Georgia club would build on this momentum and take a commanding 8-0 lead into the locker room at intermission.
In the second half, the Lady Eagles (0-10) gave a good effort and had several nice attempts for scores, but unfortunately, none of the kicks would find the back of the net. In the meantime, Tocooa maintained their cushion, eventually adding a trio of scores to close out the match with the 11-0 victory.
On the day, the victors won the shots-on-goal battle, 24-4. Pippa Passes goalie Karrie Hall recorded 13 saves.
