Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles Track and Field Competes in West Virginia University Mountaineer Twilight Classic

Morgantown, WV: The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles Outdoor Track and Field squad traveled to Morgantown, West Virginia on April 20th to compete in the ultra-competitive WVU Mountaineer Twilight, held on the campus of the West Virginia University Mountaineers.

The Twilight was originally scheduled for two days, but adverse weather conditions on Friday sliced it to a one-day event. On Saturday, ALC competed against schools from various levels of NCAA, plus NAIA and NCCAA squads. Team scores were not kept, and the Lady Eagles had three women participate.

Riley Schreck earned an impressive 3rd place finish in the javelin throw, hitting a season-best mark of 32.82m (107'8'ft).

Kaitlynn Ratliff ran the 1500-meter, and crossed the line in a time of 5:42.56. This was good for a 5th place finish.

Kirsten Cole-Williamson competed in the shotput and hit a distance of 9.09m (29'10" ft) which earned her a 11th place finish.
