Alice Lloyd Track and Field participates in Center College Twilight
Danville, KY: The Alice Lloyd College Eagles Outdoor Track and Field squad traveled to central Kentucky on April 18th to compete in the competitive Centre College Twilight Invitational. A multitude of squads, ranging from NAIA to NCAA, entered teams in this competitive event.
On the women's side of the things, Kaitlynn Ratliff, and Rose Scotello led the Caney Creek club.
Ratliff competed in the 1500m run, where she crossed the line in 5:54.22.
Scotello competed in three field events. In the Javelin, she would finish with a throw of 22.11m (72.06ft) to earn 7th place. In the Shot Put, she delivered a toss of 9.92m (32-06.5ft). Lastly, in the Discus Throw, she hit a 24.99m (82ft).
For the men, Nicholas Chasteen, Darren Griffin, Peyton Boblett, Connor Ramey, and Anthony Day were the Eagle representatives.
Chasteen appeared in two track events and performed well in both. He finished the 200m dash in a solid time of 22.53 sec, good for 3rd place. He then finished 4th in the 100m dash, with his time of 10:82
Griffin competed in three field events. In the Shotput, he achieved a 9.11m (29-10.75ft). Next, in the Javelin, his toss reached 34.94m (114-07ft) to earn 7th place. Finally, his Discus throw marked 28.33m (92-11ft)
Peyton Boblett was also in two field events. The senior tossed the Shot Put 9.4m (30-10.25ft), while in the Javelin, he fouled.
Ramey was in one track event, the 400m run, where he finished in a time of 54.44.
Day participated in two field events. In the Long Jump, he achieved 4.9m (16-01 ft), while in the High Jump, he hit 1.6m. He also participated in the Javelin throw, hitting a distance of 23.59m (77-05t)
