Alice Lloyd Track and Field participates in University of Louisville Jim Freeman /Clark Wood Open
Louisville, KY: The Alice Lloyd College Eagles Outdoor Track and Field squad traveled to Louisville on April 25th-26th to compete in the ultra-competitive Jim Freeman /Clark Wood Open at the University of Louisville. 57 groups squads ranging from NAIA to top-tier NCAA entered teams in this competitive event.
On the women's side of the things, the Lady Eagles saw Taylor Caldwell, and Rose Scotello led the Caney Creek club.
Caldwell competed in three field events. In the Javelin, she would record a throw of 25.03m (82-01ft). She followed that up in the Shot Put, where she delivered a toss of 9.36m (30-08ft). Finally, in the Discus, she hit 23.01 (75-06ft).
Scotello competed in same three field events. In the Javelin, she would finish with a throw of 19.55m (63-11ft). In the Shot Put, she delivered a toss of 9.26m (30-04.75ft). Lastly, in the Discus, a 28.44m (93-03ft) effort was her best.
For the men, Nikolas Chasteen, Darren Griffin, Peyton Boblett, Connor Ramey, and Anthony Day were the Eagle representatives.
Chasteen appeared in two track events. He finished the 200m dash in a solid time of 22.33. Next, in the 100m dash, he crossed the tape in of 10.91sec
Griffin competed in three field events. In the Shotput, he achieved a 9.76m (32-00.5ft) throw. Next, in the Javelin, his toss hit 29.91m (98-01ft). Finally, his Discus throw marked 28.97m (95-00ft)
Peyton Boblett was in two field events. The senior tossed the Shot Put 9.11m (29-10.75ft), while in the Javelin, he reached 29.91.m. (98-01ft).
Ramey was in one track and one field event. In the 400m, the freshman completed the race in 55.96sec, while in the Javelin, he threw 29.75m.
Day participated in two field events. In the Long Jump, he achieved 5.07m (16-07.75 ft), while in the High Jump, he fouled out on attempts.
