Alice Lloyd Volleyball hosts Rio Grande University
Pippa Passes, KY: The Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles volleyball team returned home on Saturday, October 19th, to battle the formidable Rio Grande University Red Storm (21-7; 9-1 RSC) in a River States Conference matchup. The Eagles had a tough day and would eventually drop the match in straight sets.

The Game 1 opener saw the Ohio squad take a slight 7-5 lead, before they went balistic and rolled off a massive 18-2 blitz to snag the convincing 25-9 victory.
In Game 2, the Buckeye club pounced quickly and lept to a 17-5 advantage. They would keep their lead the remainder of the way and take the 25-11 victory.
Game 3 saw Rio Grande look to show why they are in second place in the league as they took a quick lead once more. However, the Pippa Passes crew refused to go away and began to cut into the deficit. Unfortunately, the Red Storm would hold on to their lead and hold it as they sealed the deal with a 25-16 match victory.
On the day for ALC (6-19; 0-10 RSC), Kyleah Ward and Christa Amburgey led the club with 4 kills apiece, while Camryn Thompson was the squad-leader in assists, with 6.
In addition, Gracie Gibson delivered the lone service ace, while Jadyn Hall and TK Ellis tied with 5 digs each.
