Alice Lloyd Volleyball heads to powerful Indiana University East 

 

Richmond,IN: The Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles volleyball team journeyed to the Hoosier state on Friday, November 1st, to face the Indiana University East Red Wolves (20-9; 9-3 RSC) in River States Conference action. When the final point was recorded, East would leave with a 3-0 sweep.

In the opener, the Indiana East only led 8-7 before they unleashed a massive 17-1 blitz to take the game, 25-8.

In Game 2, the Kentucky ladies played well and pulled out to a two-point lead. However, with the scoreboard reading 12-10 in favor of the Bluegrass squad, East would roll out a 15-3 burst to come back for the 25-15 win.

Game 3, saw the Indiana club fall behind early, but quickly regroup to take the lead, 15-10. From there, the Red Wolves would not be denied as they moved on out to seal the match with a 25-12 victory.

On the day for ALC (6-23; 0-14 RSC), Kyleah Ward and Camryn Thompson tied in kills with 4 while Rose Scotello and Taylor Cox handed off 6 and 5 assists respectively. In addition, Gracie Gibson came up big with 22 digs. Ward led the squad with 5 points, followed closely by Thompson (4.5) and Scotello 4.
