ALC Cross Country Participates in Welch College Invitational

Gallatin, TN: The Alice Lloyd Eagles women and men's cross-country teams traveled to the Volunteer State on Saturday, September 21st to participate in the Welch College Invitational.

The weather conditions were favorable as 11 women from 4 different colleges and 15 men from 4 different institutions toed the starting line on a course that was fairly level throughout.

On the day, the Lady Eagles had one runner tackle the 5K trail, and she came ready to run. Kaitlynn Ratliff crossed the finish line in a time of 22:07. This earned her a 5th place finish and also set a new PR for her as well.

On the men's side of the equation, the Eagles would also send one runner to the starting gate. Noah Harris would complete the 8K race in a time of 31:32. This earned him a 9th place finish and also set a new PR for him as well. 

In addition, because of these solid times, both runners have earned "Automatic Qualifier"status for the NCCAA DII Cross Country National Championship. This will take place on November 15th in Warsaw, Indiana.
