ALC Cross Country Participates in prestigious Greater Louisville Classic

Louisville, KY:  The Alice Lloyd Eagles women and men's cross-country teams traveled to the Derby City on October 5th to participate in the prestigious Greater Louisville Classic.

This course is often used as the host for the NCAA Cross Country Championships, and is considered one of the top meets in the country each year.

The weather conditions were excellent as 205 women from 31 different colleges and 196 men from 25 different institutions signed up to toe the starting line on a course that was fairly level throughout.

On the day, the Lady Eagles had one runner tackle the 5K trail as Kaitlynn Ratliff crossed the finish line in a time of 22:35. This earned her a 113th place finish and was 9 seconds faster than her time last year in the same competition.

On the men's side of the equation, the Eagles would also send one runner to the starting gate. Noah Harris, running in his first GLC, completed the 8K race in a time of 33:47. This earned him a 176th place finish.
