ALC Cross Country concludes season at NCCAA DII National Championship
Warsaw, IN: On Friday, November 15th, the Alice Lloyd women and men's cross country squads traveled to the Hoosier state as they would conclude their season taking part in the prestegious NCCAA DII National Championship. The event was hosted jointly by Bethel University and Grace College. The weather was quite cool as the event unfolded in northern Indiana.
For the ladies, 66 courageous athletes toed the starting gate for the women's 5K . After all runners had crossed the line, Crown College, Minnesota would top everyone to claim the championship trophy. On the day, Alice Lloyd College was represented by senior Kaitlynn Ratliff. She would complete the race in 22:26 to earn a solid 25th Place finish.
On the men's side of the equation, 75 brave souls toed the starting line for the men's 8K. After the dust had settled, Bob Jones University, South Carolina would emerge as this years champion. For Alice Lloyd College, they would also send one runner to the starting gate as senior Noah Harris completed the 8K race in a time of 32:35. This earned him a 50th place finish.
